Sometimes the bear eats you.

Fresh off of our ARS opener we headed back into the GOM with high expectations. What I found when I got there were different conditions. The edge we had done so well on had a hard easterly current making holding bottom difficult. As I pushed to the west the better the current became. Sadly the bite did not get much better.

Saturday I made desperation move to the north. We managed to have a better bite picking away at the ARS. unfortunatly long steams in between spots were the norm. Out best bite of the trip was Sunday morning at sunrise with a mix of  ARS and yellowtails. Here is a shot of the sounder on Sunday morning-

Another busy week starting on Tuesday. Our annual family charter with John Bivens and friends is this week. Always a favorite and a welcome change of pace. The end of the week we have Pulley Ridge charter with Florida Sport Fishing.

So now it begins. I thought I used to be busy in New England. That was easy. I am blessed.

More later,

Greg
