Good morning from the Key West command center.
Happy to report we are back in the water and tied to our dock. Overall the biannual haul out for the most part uneventful. I finished all the work I wanted to get done, which honestly is surprising. Considering we were hauled a day late and went in a day early. Thinking about it was a one of the easiest ones I have done. We didn’t find any surprises. The USCG hull inspection went smooth. We needed to replace a thru hull coupling and found 3 cracked welds that needed repair. The thru hull could have been an issue going forward. Thankfully the inspector found it. When we went back in the water we found a couple drips that needed some teflon tape to make them water tight. Not even sure where the time went during the haul out. It was only 8 days in the yard and we managed 2 days off for the weekend. It was over before we started.
Here area few pictures of the work we did-
So back to what we do starting tomorrow. A full schedule of trips. Plenty to choose from the different areas we fish. One trip in particular has just a few people. In fact in needs more bodies to sale. I know its just a week away but if you interested in doing a trip with just a handful of people this is the one. I hate to jinx it but the long range weather looks good also. Looking at the manifest this trip has a group that are great teachers. If you looking to learn the art of jigging this is the trip. Thanks for looking, more later.
